Our database
The database, containing over 4,000 common German and English spelling errors, was compiled through meticulous research by the Dr. Ehrlich Institute. It incorporates frequent spelling mistakes from dictations and proofreading. The easier levels include many commonly misspelled everyday words. In the more difficult levels, the words become very complex, and the quotations and proverbs are more challenging. There are a total of 10 difficulty levels, each with 8 lessons in either German or English.

For efficient learning, whenever you want. To help your brain become accustomed to correct spelling, you should practice for 10 minutes daily. The short spelling lists are designed for efficient learning. As your learning level increases, both the words and the corresponding quotes and proverbs become more challenging. Practicing one or two exercises daily can easily be integrated into your everyday life, becoming a regular routine, and, together with the Correct Spelling App, ensures a motivating and entertaining learning experience.

Featuring quotes and proverbs from Goethe, Schiller, Fontane, Kleist, and many more, spanning various cultures and eras, this app offers both humor and food for thought. The educational concept of the Correct Spelling App is based on an integrative approach: words are spoken aloud, then written in full by the user and inserted into sentences. Listening to the words, writing them completely, and relating them to the quotes or proverbs provides intensive training for both spelling and memory. The short exercise lists are specifically designed for efficient practice. All errors are recorded in a learning log. Helpful hints and further examples are provided for many common mistakes. Repetition and various training algorithms further enhance memorization.

The errors are listed in practice lists and repeated using an algorithm. Personalized learning lists contain all errors with their corrections. You repeat the misspelled words until they are correct. The set of quotations and proverbs serves to illustrate the meaning of the word.
The Correct Spelling App has 10 difficulty levels, and a medal is awarded for each completed level. Each learning level typically consists of 8 lessons with approximately 300 practice words. To motivate users and measure their progress, there are knowledge points and learning points. Knowledge points are awarded for correct answers, and learning points are awarded for correctly answering previous errors.
